Make Oriental ramen noodle salad by combining coleslaw mix, ramen, almonds and scallions with a simple oil and white wine vinegar dressing. Another recipe calls for broccoli coleslaw mix and apple cider vinegar.
To make Oriental ramen noodle salad, toss 1 16-ounce bag of coleslaw mix, 1 cup of sunflower seeds, 1 cup of sliced almonds, 2 3-ounce bags of crushed ramen noodles and 5 sliced scallions in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup of vegetable oil, 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Drizzle the dressing over the salad, and mix everything well. Chill the salad for two hours before serving.
Make another recipe by mixing together 1 16-ounce package of broccoli coleslaw mix, 2 3-ounce packages of crushed chicken-flavored ramen noodles and 1 chopped bung of green onions. To make the dressing, stir together 1/3 cup of cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of white sugar and the 2 seasoning packets from the ramen noodle mix. Toss the dressing with the coleslaw mixture until everythign is well-combined, and refrigerate the salad. Before serving, sprinkle the salad with 1 cup of unsalted peanuts and 1 cup of sunflower seeds.
