Make new recipes from last week's leftovers by perusing the suggestions found on allyou, The Guardian and Real Simple. For example, the Guardian provides several new recipes for leftover salad.
You can make chilled lettuce and radish soup from leftover salad made from iceberg, chard or little gem salad leaves and radishes. First, boil 13 1/2 ounces of vegetable stock and 4 tablespoons of milk, then add the radishes, 1 bay leaf and 1 sprig of fresh thyme. Reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes, then add the lettuce, and cook for another two minutes. Puree the soup after removing the bay leaf, and top with more radish slices before serving.
If you have leftover steak, you can make chili-rubbed flank steak wraps or steak salad. To make the wraps, heat 4 flour tortillas, and spread with 1 cup of salsa. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the salsa, spoon on the steak and add 1 cup of shredded iceberg lettuce. Roll up the tortilla, and serve with avocado slices, chips and salsa.
You can also make spicy rice and turkey with chorizo by using up leftover turkey. While cooking 1 cup of long-grain white rice, cook 4 ounces of sliced Spanish chorizo sausages in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. After the sausage browns, add 1 1/2 cups of shredded roasted turkey, 1 cup of frozen peas and 1/4 cup of dry white wine. Simmer for 2 minutes before adding 4 sliced scallions, 2 chopped plum tomatoes, and salt and pepper to taste and cooking for 1 minute. Toss the meat and vegetables with the rice, and serve.
