To make a classic Moscow mule cocktail, combine a 1/2 ounce of lime juice with 2 ounces of vodka and 4 to 6 ounces of ginger beer in a cocktail glass or copper mug filled with ice. Garnish the drink with a lime wedge.
You can make different variations of Moscow Mule drinks by adding additional ingredients to the classic version. To make an apple cider Moscow Mule, add 2 ounces of apple cider, 2 ounces of vodka and 1/2 cup of ginger beer to an ice-filled glass or mug. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.
To make a fresh peach Moscow Mule, dice 1/2 of a peach and place it in a cocktail shaker along with four to five lime wedges and 5 ounces of peach schnapps. Use a muddling stick to mash the ingredients together until the peaches are fully mashed. Add 1 ounce of vodka and a handful of ice to the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for several seconds. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the cocktail glass or mug filled with ice. Top off the remainder of the glass with ginger beer and a 1/2 ounce of Grand Marnier.
