To make Minnie Mouse cone cupcakes, fill ice cream cones with cupcake batter, bake the cupcakes, frost the cupcakes, decorate the cupcakes with chocolate discs for ears, and add flower-shaped candies for bows. You need wafer ice cream cones, mini-muffin tins, chocolate cake batter, chocolate frosting, chocolate discs and flower- or bow-shaped candies.
- Prepare the ice cream cones
Place the bottoms of the ice cream cones in the holes of the mini-muffin tin.
- Mix up the cake batter
Make the chocolate cake batter.
- Fill the cones with the batter
Pour the batter into the ice cream cones until the cones are filled halfway. You want the batter to rise only to the top of the cone during baking.
- Bake the cupcakes
Bake the cupcakes until the center is set. Test by poking a toothpick into the cupcake. It should come out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
- Frost the cupcakes
After the cupcakes have cooled completely, frost the top of the cupcake with chocolate frosting. If the cupcakes are still warm, the frosting starts to melt and drip, so this is best avoided.
- Attach the ears
Press a chocolate disc into either side of the top of the frosted cupcake for the mouse ears.
- Add the bow
Place a bow or flower-shaped candy against one the ears to create a bow.
