Magic Cookie Bars
Magic cookie bars are so called because the condensed milk magically caramelizes during cooking to create a soft, caramel topping.

- 1 14-ounce can condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/3 cup coconut flakes
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Preheat the oven
- Create the graham cracker crust
- Put on the toppings
- Bake in the oven
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Coat the bottom of a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix together the graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press small handfuls into the bottom of the baking dish. Completely fill the bottom of the dish with the graham cracker crust.
Open the can of sweetened condensed milk. Pour the milk evenly over the graham cracker crust. Top the milk with a layer of chocolate chips. Top this with a layer of coconut flakes and then finish with a layer of chopped nuts.
Put the magic cookie bars into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes. The top of the magic cookie bars will turn light brown. Allow the cookie bars to cool at least 20 minutes before cutting and serving.
