To cook six servings of lasagna, first cook 12 ounces of ground beef until brown. Spread one cup of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 2-quart, oven-safe dish or pan. Mix another 1 1/2 cups of spaghetti sauce with the ground beef and cook them together until warm.
Build three layers in the pan, with each layer consisting of two lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the ground beef, 3/4 cups of cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, in that order. For the top layer, start with two lasagna noodles like the other two layers, then add the rest of the ground beef, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and two tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Cover the entire baking dish with aluminum foil, and bake in an oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour. Afterwards, remove the foil, let it cool, cut the lasagna into the desired pieces, and serve.
