To make Kellogg's Raisin Bran muffins, mix 2 cups of Kellogg's Raisin Bran cereal, 3/4 cup of milk, 1 egg and 1/4 cup of softened shortening. Beat the mixture in a food processor. Combine 1 cup of sifted flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 cup of sugar. Add it to the cereal mixture, and mix with a spatula. Fill muffin pans with the dough. Bake it at 400 F for 25 minutes.
Alternatively, mix together 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. In another bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
In a third bowl, combine 3 cups of Raisin Bran cereal and 1 1/4 cups of milk. Leave the bowl until the cereal begins to soften. Add 1 egg and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, and mix it until smooth. Add the flour mixture to the bowl. Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate morsels. Grease a muffin pan, and fill up the holes with the batter to about 3/4 full. Sprinkle the muffins with the cinnamon mixture. Bake the muffins for about 20 minutes at 400 F.
