One smoothie recipe is the strawberry, kale and spinach detox smoothie. To make this smoothie, place 1 1/2 cups each of kale and spinach, one peeled orange, 8 to 10 frozen strawberries, 1 cup of fresh mango, 1/4 cup of water and 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt in a blender. Blend these ingredients until they are well-combined.
Another smoothie recipe is called the Classic Green Monster. This smoothie consists of almond milk, your desired amount of spinach and kale, a banana, chia seeds and a few other ingredients. To make this smoothie, place the previously mentioned ingredients in a blender along with a tablespoon of almond butter, 2 to 4 ice cubes and a dash of cinnamon. Blend until well-combined. You can also add a scoop of protein powder to this recipe.
For the best results, pour the liquid ingredients in the blender first, followed by the spinach and kale and then the frozen or fresh fruits on top.
