To make JELL-O look like a brain, mix hot gelatin with milk, pour into a brain mold, refrigerate the JELL-O for at least two hours, and unmold it unto a serving platter. This recipe yields eight 1/2-cup servings.
Put 12 ounces of peach JELL-O powder into a mixing bowl, and stir in 1 3/4 cups boiling water. Stir the gelatin until it dissolves, and then add 5 ounces evaporated milk and 3/4 cup cold water. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Spray the JELL-O Halloween Brain Mold with non-stick spray, and pour the gelatin into the mold. Put the mold in the refrigerator for one hour.
Empty a 3-ounce package of strawberry JELL-O powder into a microwave-safe bowl, and stir in 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Add 1 cup cold water, and stir until the JELL-O and cornstarch dissolve. Microwave the liquid for 3 minutes.
Take the brain mold out of the refrigerator, and gently pull the peach gelatin away from one side of the mold. Spoon a small amount of strawberry gelatin into the gap. Repeat around the rest of the mold, and then put it back in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Chill the remaining strawberry gelatin also.
Take the brain mold out of the refrigerator, and turn the JELL-O out onto a platter. Microwave the leftover strawberry gelatin for one minute, and then spoon it over the brain. Serve immediately.
