A recipe for spicy honey mustard calls for 1 cup of Dijon mustard, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard powder. To prepare the honey mustard, whisk all of the ingredients together in a medium bowl.
Make curried honey mustard sauce by combining 1/4 cup of Creole mustard, 1/4 cup of honey and 1 1/4 teaspoons of curry powder.
Use the curried honey mustard sauce for dipping crab hush puppies, which you can make with 1/4 cup of curry powder, 1 cup of just-add-water cornbread mix, 1/4 cup of clam juice, 1 cup of finely chopped green onion and 12 ounces of fresh lump crab meat, diced. To prepare the hush puppies, stir together the cornbread mix, clam juice and curry powder in a medium bowl. Add the crab meat and half of the onions, and mix well. Add oil to a medium saucepan until it reaches 1 1/2 inches in depth, and heat the pan to about 330 degrees Fahrenheit. Drop heaping spoonfuls of the batter into the pan, and fry the hush puppies until they are golden brown and cooked through. Top with the remaining onions, and serve the hush puppies with the curried honey mustard sauce.
