How Do You Make Homemade Baby Formula?

Make your own baby formula by combining milk, whey and a few more ingredients into a blender and simmering in a pan for a few minutes. You will need a pan, water, a stove, a microwave-safe dish, a blender, sterilized glass bottles and nipples, milk, liquid whey, lactose, cream, flax oil, sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, nutritional yeast, gelatin, filtered water, bifidobacterium infantis and acerola powder.

  1. Dissolve the gelatin

    Combine 2 teaspoons of gelatin and 1 7/8 cups of water into a microwave-safe dish, and heat on low until the gelatin is dissolved. Place the mixture in a blender.

  2. Measure the rest of the ingredients

    Measure the rest of the ingredients into a blender. Of the dairy products, add 2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of cream, 4 tablespoons of lactose and 1/4 cup of liquid whey. Of the oil component, add 1 teaspoon of flax oil, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and 1 teaspoon of sunflower oil. Add 2 teaspoons of nutritional yeast, 1/4 teaspoon of bifidobacterium infantis and 1/4 teaspoon of acerola powder.

  3. Blend the ingredients

    Blend the ingredients until everything is thoroughly combined.

  4. Pour the mixture into a bottle

    Pour the mixture into a sterilized glass bottle. Attach the nipple.

  5. Simmer the bottle

    Place a pan filled with water on the stove. Place the bottle in the water. Simmer until the bottle reaches a drinkable temperature.
