This smoothie recipe packs a healthy punch with 2 whole cups of kale and the sweetness of pineapple and a banana. Kale is an excellent choice for a smoothie as it provides 2 1/2 grams of fiber and almost 3 grams of protein per cup at just 33 calories.

- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 cups kale
- 1 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1 ripe banana

Remove the spines from each of the kale leaves. Stack and roll up the leaves. Chop the leaves into small pieces. Core and slice up the pineapple into chunks. Peel the banana and chop into pieces.
Place the coconut milk into the blender first with an additional 1/2 cup of water. Add the kale, pineapple and banana on top.
Blenderize the combination of ingredients for about 1 minute. If a thinner consistency is desired, add more water. To turn the smoothie into a frozen drink, add the water in the form of ice.
