To make a green apple martini, or appletini, combine 1 shot of vodka or gin in a martini glass over lots of ice, then add 1 shot of sour apple liqueur and 1/2 a shot of Monin Green Apple syrup. Garnish it with a slice of a Granny Smith apple.
Alternatively, try mixing 1 part Absolut vodka, 1 part DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps and 1 part apple juice in a cocktail shaker. Strain, then pour into a martini glass. Another variation uses 1 1/2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of green apple schnapps and 1/2 ounce of lemon juice.
For an Irish twist on the appletini, try a Green Dublin apple cocktail. Combine 2 ounces of Michael Collins Irish whiskey, 1 ounce of sour apple schnapps and 2 ounces of white cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain, then pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of fresh apple. Prevent apple slices or peel garnishes from yellowing immediately by dipping them in lemon juice.
Another variation is a green apple ginger martini. Add 2 ounces of ginger-infused vodka, 2 ounces of fresh green apple and lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of maple or honey simple syrup to a cocktail shaker half-filled with crushed ice. Shake thoroughly until the shaker becomes frosty, then strain into chilled glasses and garnish with an apple slice.
