Make easy peanut butter bars by spreading a combination of butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar and peanut butter in the bottom of a pan. Top with melted chocolate and refrigerate for an hour. This Kraft recipe does not require a stove or oven.
Gather 1/2 cup of butter or margarine, 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs, 1 cup of creamy-style peanut butter and 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate. Line the bottom and sides of a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with aluminum foil. Ensure the foil extends over the edges of the pan so it is easy to remove when the bars are ready to serve.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butter until melted, about 45 seconds on high. Add the sugar, graham cracker crumbs and peanut butter to the melted butter, and mix thoroughly. Spread the mixture into the bottom of the foil-lined pan.
Place the chocolate, in chips or chunks, in a separate microwave-safe bowl, and microwave at 50-percent power for one minute. Remove the bowl, and stir the chocolate. If the chocolate is not fully melted, return it to the microwave for 15 seconds, then stir again. Continue microwaving in 15-second increments until the chocolate is melted. Pour the melted chocolate onto the peanut butter mixture.
Set the pan in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Once chilled, cut into individual bars. Remove from the pan by grasping the foil on the sides and gently lifting.
