Make a lime Jell-O and cream cheese dish by mixing together lime gelatin, cream cheese, pears, pineapple, whipped topping and pecans. Another recipe calls for the addition of marshmallows and walnuts.
Make pear-lime gelatin salad by preparing a 3-ounce package of lime gelatin in a saucepan. Pour the required water and gelatin in a pot, and bring to a boil until the gelatin dissolves into the water. Remove the Jell-O from the heat. Drain a 15-ounce can of pear halves and a 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple. Blend the pears and the 8-ounce package of cream cheese together until smooth, and fold in the lime Jell-O. Add the pineapple, 3/4 cup of toasted, chopped pecans and an 8-ounce container of whipped topping. Place the mixture in a dish, sprinkle with 1/4 cup of chopped, toasted pecans, and chill until the gelatin sets completely.
Another recipe requires you to cook the gelatin using the juice from an 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple as well as water. Beat the cream cheese before folding in the gelatin, 1 cup of miniature marshmallows, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, the crushed pineapple and an 8-ounce container of whipped topping. Refrigerate in a bowl for at least two hours before serving.
