Make up this authentic Tex-Mex chili recipe for dinner or to serve over top of potatoes or spaghetti. It should be prepared when you have plenty of time for the flavors to cook together.

Brown the ground beef and garlic cloves over medium heat in a large stock pot. Drain off the excess fat.
Add in the tomato sauce and seasonings. Stir well, cover and cook on low heat for about 1 hour. Add 1/2 cup of water, if needed, to keep the chili from getting dry.
Stir the corn flour together with another 1/2 cup of water in a bowl. When mixed, pour into the chili. Incorporate the corn flour into the chili until well mixed. Pour in the beans and simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve with additional toppings like onions, cheese, lime juice or tortilla chips.
