Butterscotch Cookie Recipe

Set aside one or more baking sheets and turn on the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small mixing bowl, blend the first four ingredients together.
Soften the butter; cream the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla together in a separate mixing bowl.
Beat the dry ingredients into the sugar mixture. Add the oats and butterscotch chips and stir them into the mixture.
Use a tablespoon to drop the dough onto the baking sheets. Bake the cookies for 7 to 10 minutes. Baking the cookies for a shorter period of time produces chewy cookies. For crispy cookies, bake them for a longer period of time.
