To make a bacon bowl, place uncooked strips of bacon over a form, and microwave for roughly 2.5 minutes. For best results, use a form made specifically for this purpose.
A bacon bowl requires three strips of uncooked bacon. Cut one of the strips in half across the width. Use these strips to cover the bottom of the form. Use the remaining two strips to wrap around the sides of the mold.
Place the bacon-covered mold in a microwave, and cover with a paper towel to avoid splatter. Cook the bacon bowl for 2.5 minutes on high power. For a crispier bowl, cook for an additional 30 seconds or more. To make more than one bacon bowl at a time, place the bowls on a baking sheet on the oven. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 18 minutes.
For a quick dish, fill the bacon bowl with cooked eggs. After cooking the bacon bowl, melt 1/2 teaspoon butter in a cup. Use the butter to coat the inside of the cup. Mix two eggs and 2 tablespoons butter in the cup.
Microwave the egg mixture for 45 seconds. Stir the contents, and microwave for an additional 40 seconds. Place the cooked eggs inside the bacon bowl. Top with cheese or herbs if desired.
