It takes about 15 minutes to steam a chicken breast in a bamboo steamer set into the bottom of a wok. The steamed chicken breast is ready when its internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
When steaming a chicken breast, first remove the skin and bone from the breast. Then, marinate the chicken breast for 20 to 30 minutes with olive oil, your choice of herbs, and salt and pepper to taste. Finally, place the chicken breast in the bamboo steamer, pour the remaining marinade over the breast to coat it and cover the wok to evenly steam the chicken breast.
