It takes about 10 to 12 minutes in total to grill steak shish kabobs. They should be rotated 90 degrees every four minutes. It may take shorter or longer depending on how you prefer your steak to be cooked. Let the kabobs rest a few minutes before serving.
When cooking on direct heat, leave the grill open. Steak shish kabobs grill best when the grill has been preheated with coals or a flame. Marinate the steak beforehand with a dry cooking wine, salt, pepper, paprika, sugar, onion powder and garlic powder. Let the cubed steak marinate in this mixture for at least 30 minutes to two hours before grilling.
