Fresh rosemary lasts for 10 to 14 days when properly stored. To store fresh rosemary, wrap it gently in damp paper towels and place it in a plastic storage bag. Store the rosemary in the refrigerator door until it is needed.
Rosemary should not be washed before storing to prevent excess moisture buildup, which can cause it to mold prematurely. Also, rosemary should be wrapped loosely so that air can circulate around it. Alternatively, rosemary can be dried by hanging the sprigs in a warm, dry location until they are fully dried, and then stored in an airtight container. Dried rosemary can be stored in the freezer for 4 to 6 months.
