Some Lime Jell-O salad recipes include the Under-the-Sea Salad from Kraft and the Lime Gelatin Salad from The Kitchn. Kraft, the maker of Jell-O, offers other recipes on its website as well.
The Under-the-Sea Salad from Kraft is prepared in a loaf pan and features two layers of Jell-O. To prepare the bottom layer of the salad, add boiling water to one package of Lime Jell-O and salt and stir in lemon juice and syrup from a can of diced pears. Part of the Jell-O mixture is then transferred to a loaf pan and placed in the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour, just until the Jell-O is lightly set. The remaining Jell-O is mixed with cream cheese, diced pairs and cinnamon and poured over the first layer to create the second layer of the salad. The salad is then chilled for 4 hours before serving.
The Lime Gelatin Salad from The Kitchn features nuts, fruit and cottage cheese and is prepared in a Bundt pan. To prepare the salad, the Jell-O is mixed with boiling water, crushed pineapple and evaporated milk and stirred. As the mixture begins to cool, cottage cheese, mayonnaise and walnuts are added to the mixture and stirred until all ingredients are incorporated. The salad is placed in the mold and chilled in the refrigerator for 6 hours before serving.
