To make various juices using a juicing machine, combine ingredients such as oranges, kale, apples, carrots and beets. Add additional ingredients such as chia seeds, ginger and horseradish to more basic juicing recipes to add additional flavor.
To make ginger and beet juice, process 1 medium orange that has been peeled and quartered, 3 kale leaves, 1 medium apple cut into wedges, 1 medium peeled carrot, and a 1-inch piece of peeled fresh ginger. To make carrot and orange juice, combine 1 medium yellow tomato cut into wedges, 1 peeled and quartered orange, 1 medium apple cut into 8 wedges, and 4 large peeled carrots. To make a juice consisting primarily of kale, process 1 1/2 pounds of kale with 2 medium carrots, 2 cored and halved apples, and 1 small peeled lemon.
To make a juice that includes chia seeds, process 2 medium beets that have been peeled and scrubbed, 1 peeled and cored Granny Smith apple, and 3 medium peeled carrots. Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, and let them soak for about five minutes, or until softened. To make a mixed vegetable juice with horseradish, juice 3 large tomatoes cut into chunks, 7 celery stalks, 1/2 pound unpeeled carrots and a 2 1/2-inch piece of horseradish that is 1/4-inch wide. Add 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt and 2 1/2 teaspoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
