When prepared as directed, a 4-ounce serving of Velveeta Shells and Cheese is 360 calories, made up of 12 grams of fat, 49 grams of carbohydrates and 13 grams of protein. Each serving also contains 870 milligrams of sodium, which is 36 percent of the recommended daily value based on a 2,000-calorie daily diet, making it a fairly high-sodium side dish. However, it is a good source of calcium, protein and iron.
