Ingredients in peanut butter bars are butter, peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips and confectioner's sugar. Another recipe only calls for crunchy peanut butter, honey and toasted whole grain oats cereal.
To make peanut butter bars, combine 1 cup of melted butter with 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs, 2 cups of confectioner's sugar and 1 cup of peanut butter. Spoon the mixture into a baking pan. Place 4 tablespoons of peanut butter and 1 1/2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips in a bowl, and melt them in a microwave. Stir the softened ingredients until it forms a thick sauce, and pour it over the peanut butter crust until it forms an even topping. Chill the peanut butter bars until they set up.
Make another peanut butter bar recipe by heating 1/2 cup of natural crunchy peanut butter and 1/2 cup of honey in a saucepan at medium heat and simmering it for three minutes. Stir the mixture often, and remove it from the heat. Add 3 cups of toasted whole grain oats cereal to the sauce, and with a pastry roller, press the mixture into a square baking pan lined with parchment. Chill the bars for 60 minutes before cutting them into pieces.
