Some of the main ingredients in Gatorade G2 are water, sugar, citric acid, salt and sodium citrate. Additional G2 ingredients include monopotassium phosphate, sucralose and acesulfame potassium. Each of the eight types of Gatorade G2 contain natural flavors and food colorings, such as Yellow 5 and Red 40.
G2 uses the same electrolyte formula as the original Gatorade drink, but has less than half of the calories and carbohydrates. The electrolyte formula contains a combination of 160 milligrams of sodium and 45 milligrams of potassium. Per 12-ounce serving, G2 contains 7 grams of carbohydrates and 30 calories; each bottle of Gatorade G2 contains 2.5 servings.
Gatorade G2 doesn't contain a significant amount of calories from fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol or dietary fiber. It is also not a significant source of vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium or iron. Gatorade G2 is available in eight flavors, including Orange, Blueberry Pomegranate, Glacier Freeze, Tropical Blend and Raspberry Melon. Fruit Punch, Grape and Lemon-Lime are some other Gatorade G2 flavors. G2 is also available in individualized powder packets that can be mixed with water.
