One homemade meatball recipe calls for 2 pounds of ground beef; 2 eggs, beaten; 1 cup of Italian breadcrumbs; 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese; and 2 tablespoons of minced garlic. Other ingredients are 4 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, and mix them together with your hands until they are well blended. Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the meatball mixture. Pack it tightly by squeezing it, then roll between the palm of the hands to form a meatball that's about 1 1/2 inches around. Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. When they're done, put them on a wire rack to cool. Allow them to cool thoroughly before serving.
Another meatball recipe uses 1 pound of lean ground beef; 1 egg; 1/2 cup breadcrumbs; 2 tablespoons of water; and 1/4 cup of minced onion. Seasonings are 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and then combine all the ingredients in a bowl, and mix with your hands. Form the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs, and bake on a broiler pan for 25 to 30 minutes. These meatballs can be frozen after they're cooled.
