Some recipes for homemade frozen yogurt include peach frozen yogurt and raspberry frozen yogurt with chocolate chips. To make peach frozen yogurt, add 3 1/2 cups of frozen peaches and 1/2 cup of superfine sugar to a food processor. Process them until the peaches are coarsely chopped.
In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup of nonfat plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Turn the processor back on, and slowly pour in the yogurt and juice mixture. Allow the ingredients to process until smooth, scraping any peaches of the sides as necessary.
To make raspberry frozen yogurt with chocolate chips, process 3 cups of fresh or frozen raspberries, 2 cups of low-fat plain yogurt, 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract in a food processor until smooth. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker, and process it per the machine’s instructions. Five minutes before the mixture is done freezing, add 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips.
To make raspberry chocolate-chip frozen yogurt without an ice cream maker, transfer the mixture to a 9-by-13-inch baking pan, and place the pan in the freezer. Every couple of hours, stir the mixture. When the edges are hard but the center is only slightly firm, transfer the yogurt to a food processor, blend it until smooth, and then stir in the chocolate chips.
