For the cream cheese icing, beat 1 cup of butter and 2 packages of cream cheese in a bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Gradually add 8 cups of confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk. Beat on high speed until the mixture is smooth.
The fluffy boiled icing recipe makes icing with a marshmallow flavor. Beat 3 tablespoons of meringue powder and 1/2 cup of cold water for about 4 minutes, or until the mixture is stiff. Combine 2 cups of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of corn syrup and 1/2 cup of water in a microwavable bowl, and heat it on high for about 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool for 1 minute, and add it to the meringue mixture. Beat it on high for 4 minutes, or until it's stiff and glossy.
