For kid-friendly chicken, mix together 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 minced garlic cloves. Remove the chicken from the marinade, and sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Grill the chicken on an oiled rack for six minutes on each side. Kids can make healthy foods with adult supervision. Have kids measure the ingredients for banana smoothies, including 1 frozen banana, 1 cup whole strawberries with the stems removed, 3/4 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt and 1/2 cup orange juice. Blend the ingredients until smooth.
To make no-cook applesauce, put 2 peeled and cored small red apples and 1 tablespoon lemon juice into a blender or food processor. Blend the ingredients until smooth, and pour the applesauce into two small bowls. Finish off the applesauce by adding 1 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
