Some healthy ingredients that are used for breakfast pizza include a reduced-fat crescent roll crust, scrambled eggs, onion, bell pepper, turkey sausage and reduced-fat cheddar cheese. Reduced-fat pork sausage and refrigerated hash browns are additional healthy ingredients for breakfast pizza recipes.
To make a healthy breakfast pizza, press one can of reduced-fat crescent rolls onto a 12-inch pizza pan. Sprinkle cooked turkey sausage over the top of the dough, and sprinkle refrigerated hash browns on top of the sausage. Cook 1/4 cup diced onion and 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper in 1 tablespoon of oil. Beat 3 large eggs with 1 tablespoon of milk, salt and pepper, then scramble the egg mixture with the vegetables, and spoon it over the sausage and potatoes. Top the pizza with 1 cup of reduced-fat cheddar cheese, and bake it at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes.
For healthy vegetarian breakfast pizza, use low-fat refrigerated crescent dinner roll dough for the crust. Top the crust with 7 ounces of cooked vegetarian "sausage" patties, 1 cup of shredded hash brown potatoes and 1 cup of low fat shredded cheddar cheese. Whisk together one 8-ounce carton of egg substitute, 1/4 cup soy milk, 2 teaspoons fresh sage, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the "sausage" mixture, and bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes, until the crust is browned.
