Cinnamon apple bread is a great choice of a healthy homemade apple bread recipe. The chopped apples and the cinnamon are the two ingredients that set this recipe apart from other bread recipes.
To make the cinnamon apple bread, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. In a bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar, and set this aside. In a stand mixer, combine white sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then beat on medium speed until well mixed. To this mixture add flour, baking powder and milk. Spread half the batter into the prepared pan, and cover with half of the apples. Using the back of a spoon, pat apples into the batter.
Sprinkle half of the sugar and cinnamon mixture on the batter, then pour the remaining batter over the apple layer. Top the mixture with the remaining apples, and add more brown sugar/cinnamon mixture. Using the back of a large spoon, pat the topping into the batter. Bake for 50 minutes. To check if the bread is ready, insert a toothpick in the middle of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready. Cool in a pan for 10 minutes, and transfer the bread to a cooling pan.
