V8 juices are low calorie, excellent sources of certain nutrients and provide some of the daily recommended amount of fruits and vegetables, as stated by V8. There are several varieties of V8 juice to choose from for fruit and veggie lovers.
V8 juices are a blend of vegetable and fruit juices with some seasonings added. The original V8 contains tomato, carrot, celery, beet, parsley, lettuce, watercress and spinach juices. Other varieties, such as the V8 Fusion line, blend fruit juices like strawberry and banana with select veggie juices.
The primary benefit offered by this drink is that it offers a few of the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables in each glass. About 12 ounces of V8 offers 3 servings of fruits, veggies or both.
Every glass of V8 also provides different nutrients, depending on the variety. For instance, original V8 is a great source of vitamin A, C and potassium. V-Fusion provides vitamin A, C and E, while V8 Splash provides vitamins A and C.
Some of these juices are also very low in calories. Original V8 contains about 70 calories per 8 ounce glass, while Diet V8 Splash contains just 10 calories per 8 ounce glass of juice. Sucralose is added to the diet version to give it a sweet taste.
