Some grilling recipes for hamburgers include Bacon, Onion and Cheese Stuffed Burgers and Yellow Pepper and Fat Doug Burger. To make Bacon, Onion and Cheese Stuffed Burgers, form 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of hot sauce, and salt and pepper. Fry bacon until it's crispy, and then saute 1/2 onion in the bacon fat before combining the ingredients with cheese and stuffing them into the patties. Grill the hamburgers at medium-high heat.
To make Fat Doug Burgers, combine and form 8 ounces of ground sirloin, 8 ounces of ground brisket and 8 ounces of ground boneless short rib into four patties. Season them with salt to taste, and grill them at high heat for at least three minutes on each side.
Meanwhile, toss 3/4 head of shredded napa cabbage with 3 tablespoons of champagne vinegar, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of spicy mustard and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1 sliced garlic clove, 1 sliced jalapeno pepper and 1/2 sliced red onion. After refrigerating the coleslaw for an hour, serve it, pastrami slices and Swiss cheese slices on top of the burgers on brioche buns.
