The Food Network recipe for buffalo wings includes 12 whole chicken wings, 3 ounces of unsalted butter, 1 small, minced garlic clove, 1/4 cup of hot sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. Boil about 1 inch of water in a covered, 6-quart sauce pan. Separate the wings at the joint. Reduce the heat of the water to medium. Place the wings into the steamer basket, and cover the pan. Allow the wings to cook for about 10 minutes. Carefully pat the wings dry. Allow the wings to cool, then refrigerate them for about an hour.
Preheat an oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook the wings for approximately 20 minutes. While the wings are cooking, melt the butter and garlic in a small saucepan. In a bowl large enough for the wings, combine the hot sauce and salt. Toss the wings in the bowl with the other ingredients, and serve them warm.
The Southern Living recipe requires microwaving two 6-ounce frozen packages of baby spinach for three minutes on high heat. Drain the spinach. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 chopped garlic clove. Add the spinach, 14 ounces of canned, drained artichoke hearts, 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and stir until the cheese melts.
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Transfer the ingredients into a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle more mozzarella cheese on top. Bake it for about 15 minutes.Learn more about Cooking
