Sliced turkey can easily be reheated in a microwave, in an oven, or on a stove. Care should be taken to ensure that the reheated turkey is juicy, flavorful, and heated to a temperature that kills any residual bacteria.
To reheat sliced turkey in a microwave, first separate sections that contain bone from those that do not, and put them in microwave-safe dishes. Then, pour about one-half inch of broth in the bottom of the dish to be reheated, and cover completely with plastic wrap. Cook for two minutes, turn the pieces over, and then cook for an additional two minutes.
When reheating in an oven, first preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place slices in a casserole dish in a single layer, cover with one-half inch of broth or water, and then cover tightly with foil. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
To reheat on a stove top, place slices of turkey in a skillet and pour one-half inch of broth or water over the meat. Cover tightly with foil, set the heat to medium, and cook for about eight minutes.
After reheating, be sure to check the internal temperature of the meat with a meat thermometer to ensure the turkey is safe to eat. The temperature should be at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
