Some good three-ingredient recipes include a pea soup recipe and a banana pancake recipe from Food Network. A recipe for crispy salami chips with thyme mustard from Real Simple also calls for only three ingredients.
To make the pea soup, cook 16 ounces of frozen baby peas in 2 cups of simmering water in a saucepan for four minutes or until the peas are soft. Thoroughly blend the mixture to form a smooth puree. Gradually trickle in 1/4 cup of olive oil, and continue to blend the ingredients together to make a creamy soup. Add salt to taste, and serve the soup in individual bowls.
To make the banana pancakes, blend 1 large banana with 2 large eggs and 1/4 teaspoon of pumpkin-pie spice to make a smooth batter. Warm up a nonstick pan over moderately low heat, and cook tablespoonfuls of the batter for approximately one minute on each side until the pancakes set and develop a golden brown color.
To make the crispy salami chips with thyme mustard, place 12 thin slices of salami on a sheet pan, and bake them at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes or until they are crunchy. Stir 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh thyme into 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard to make a dipping sauce to accompany the salami chips.
