A good steak fajita marinade recipe calls for 1/2 cup of lime juice, 1/2 cup of cilantro, 2 teaspoons of jalapeño, 1 teaspoon of cumin and 2 teaspoons of garlic. Add olive 2 tablespoons of oil, salt and pepper to the ingredients, and marinate the covered steak overnight.
Another good steak fajita marinade uses soy sauce and brown sugar. In a blender, pour 1/2 cup of olive oil, 1/3 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of lime juice and 3 tablespoons of dark brown sugar. Season with 4 scallions, 2 garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin. Puree the ingredients until everything is well blended, then pour the mixture into a resealable bag. Add the steak, and marinate for at least one hour.
One marinade uses beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. To make, pour 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 can of low-sodium beef broth, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 1/2 tablespoon of fresh lime juice and 1 teaspoon of lime zest into a bowl. Mix in 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Pour the marinade into a bag, and add the steak. Marinate for at least four hours.
