There are a variety of Canadian Living recipes online, from upside-down deserts to simple scones and banana bread. The recipes range in complexity from simple vegetable dishes such as lemony kale and baked cauliflower to more complicated steak Florentine. For instance, one of the recipes found on CanadianLiving.com is curried potato salad. Make this dish by boiling 5 1/2 pounds of white potatoes in salted water until the potatoes are tender, and peel them after they cool. Cut the potatoes into 3/4-inch chunks. In a skillet, combine 4 teaspoons of curry powder and mustard seeds, 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds and 2 teaspoons of turmeric, and cook for four minutes.
Cook 1 cup of frozen peas in boiling water, then combine the potatoes, curry mixture and peas in a large bowl. Mix in 3/4 cup of light mayonnaise, 3/4 cup of light sour cream, 1/3 cup of chopped fresh cilantro and 2 green onions. Stir in 4 teaspoons of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. Combine everything well, and chill for up to four hours before serving.Learn more about Cooking
