Chef Emeril Lagasse has a barbecue sauce recipe that works well with pulled pork. The recipe can be made quickly and easily and makes about 2 cups.
To make this sauce, combine 1 cup each of apple cider vinegar and ketchup with 3 tablespoons of dark brown sugar, 1 tablespoon each of yellow mustard and molasses, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper. Whisk the mixture well so that all the sugar gets dissolved, and transfer it to a squeeze bottle so that those at the table can dress their own pulled pork according to individual preferences. This recipe provides enough sauce for eight average portions of pulled pork.
