Southern sweet tea and infused sweet teas are some good recipes for Lipton tea. Southern style recipes use conventional ingredients while the options for infused flavors include many fruits, spices and floral varieties.
Southern sweet tea is made by boiling 4 cups of water, then adding 6 one cup Lipton tea bags and brewing for 15 minutes. Make sure to dunk the tea bags several times, then remove and squeeze them. Pour into a pitcher with 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, 12 cups of water and then chill.
For infused tea, brew 8 cups of tea to desired strength. In a separate sauce pan, mix 3/4 cups of water and sugar with one infuser of your choice, either 1 cup of blackberries, 2 cinnamon sticks or 3 tablespoons of dried lavender. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, and strain the syrup into the tea.
