Drinks Mixer, All Recipes and Food Network have some good recipes for a lemon drop martini. The first two recipes make one serving. The third recipe, by Ina Garten of Food Network, makes six servings.
For the Drinks Mixer martini, fill half of a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in 1 1/2 ounces of Grey Goose vodka, 1/2 an ounce of triple sec, 1 teaspoon of superfine sugar, and 3/4 of an ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Shake the mixture well to blend the sugar. Pour the strained liquor into a sugar-rimmed martini glass and garnish with a twisted lemon peel.
For the All Recipes martini, moisten the edge of the martini glass with lime juice and dip it in white sugar. Place 1 long strip of lemon zest into the glass. Mix 1 1/2 ounces of citron vodka, 1/2 an ounce of lime juice, 1 ounce of sweet and sour mix, and 1 cup of crushed ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously, and strain into the glass.
For Ina Garten's martini, combine 2 cups of frozen vodka, 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1/2 cup of superfine sugar. Shake the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the mixture into martini glasses and garnish with thin lemon slices.
