Some good recipes for bread pudding sauce include Land O’Lakes’ Vanilla Sauce, Emeril Lagasse’s Whiskey Sauce and Paula Deen’s brandy sauce. To make Land O’Lakes recipe, combine ½ cup butter, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar and ½ cup heavy whipping cream in 1-quart saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 8 minutes or until mixture thickens and reaches a full boil. Gently stir in 1 tablespoon vanilla. Serve over warm bread pudding.

For Emeril Lagasse’s recipe, combine 2 cups heavy cream, ½ cup whole milk and ½ cup granulated white sugar in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat.
