A good recipe using Bisquik is chicken pie. Place 2 cups diced chicken in a sprayed pie pan. Top with 4 slices cooked, crumbled bacon, 1 diced red pepper, 8 ounces sliced mushrooms and 3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese. Whisk together 1/2 cup Bisquik, 1 cup milk and 3 eggs.
Pour the Bisquik mixture evenly over the other ingredients, and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown.
Another recipe using Bisquik is easy banana nut bread. To make it, combine 2 large very ripe bananas, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 3 slightly-beaten eggs in a large bowl. Stir. Add 2 2/3 cups Bisquik and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour into a greased loaf pan, and bake the bread at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Some nut options are walnuts or pecans.
To make onion rings using Bisquik, cut 1 medium-sized sweet onion and 1 medium-sized red onion into 1/2-inch slices, and separate into rings. In a medium-sized bowl, mix 1 1/4 cup Bisquik and 1 tablespoon sugar. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk and 1/2 cup beer, and whisk until smooth. Heat 2 inches of oil to 375 degrees in a heavy saucepan or deep fryer. Put onion rings and 1/2 cup Bisquik in a sealable plastic bag, and shake together to coat rings. Dip rings in Bisquik/beer batter, and carefully drop into hot oil. Fry for four minutes or until golden.
