Crispy French fries, fried chicken wings and tomato and chicken pasta are all recipes to cook in an ActiFry appliance. The ActiFryer is a cooker that uses pulsing heat technology and a stirring paddle to cook food in just 1 tablespoon of oil.
As of 2015, crispy French fries are a popular dish for the ActiFry. Peel 1.5 pounds of russet potatoes, cutting each into 1/2-inch strips. Place the potatoes in the pan with the agitator attached. Sprinkle with salt and 1 tablespoon of canola oil. Cook for 30 minutes.
Panko-coated chicken wings take 15 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook in the ActiFry. Beat two eggs lightly in a bowl. Place panko bread crumbs in another bowl. Dip individual chicken wings first in the egg and then in the bread crumbs. Place the wings in a single layer in the ActiFry pan without the agitator attachment. Cook in 1 tablespoon of cooking oil for six to 10 minutes, and then turn the wings. Cook for an additional six to 10 minutes, and then attach the agitator. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes more, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
Most of the ingredients for tomato and chicken pasta get cooked in the ActiFry. Cut three chicken breasts into strips, and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Cook in the Actifry pan for 10 minutes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add chopped onion and diced bacon, and cool an additional 10 minutes. Add chopped Italian tomatoes and Italian herbs, cooking for 10 more minutes. Finally, add 1 teaspoon of pesto and 1/2-cup of water, cooking for 10 more minutes. Add to pre-cooked penne pasta.
