AllRecipes.com has a recipe it calls the juiciest burger ever that uses breadcrumbs and evaporated milk as part of the ingredients. One hint in making these burgers is to use a higher fat content ground beef, such as that marked 20 percent fat.
To make these burgers, soak 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs in 3 tablespoons evaporated milk for about 5 minutes. Lightly grease and preheat a grill or hot pan to high heat. Combine 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 beaten egg, the crumb and milk mixture, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Use your hands for easier mixing. Shape the meat into 8 patties.
Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side. To keep the burgers moist, cover them with a layer of aluminum foil.
Play around with spices and additives. One option is to add 1/4 cup of chopped onion or 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Add a more smoky flavor with 1/2 teaspoon of smoke flavoring. Salt and pepper are added for more flavor as well. Sprinkle these on top of the burger, and add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper into the patty. Add 1/2 slice of cheese to the middle of a patty cut in half to add a surprise.
