A good, quick recipe for making dumplings using Bisquick requires 2 cups of Original Bisquick mix and 2/3 cup of milk. Add the two ingredients in a bowl, and stir until thoroughly combined. Using a spoon, drop the dough into the boiling broth of stew, and cook for 20 minutes.
Blackberry dumpling cobbler also uses Bisquick as one of the main ingredients with which to make dumplings. Combine 2 16-ounce bags of frozen blackberries, 1 1/3 cups of sugar and 1/4 cup of butter in a saucepan. Heat at medium until the mixture boils. Stir it until everything is combined and the sugar is dissolved, and then remove the mixture from the heat.
To make the dumplings, add 3 8-ounce packages of Neufchâtel cheese and 2/3 cups of sugar to a bowl. Beat the ingredients until they form a fluffy texture, and gradually add in 2/3 cup of fat-free milk. Stir in 3/4 cup of old-fashioned oats and 2 1/4 cups of Original Bisquick mix. Pour 2/3 of the mixture on the bottom of a baking dish for the crust. Layer on the blackberries. Finally, use the rest of the Bisquick mixture to make dumplings on the top by dolloping spoonfuls of the batter onto the blackberries. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes until the dumplings turn golden-brown.
