The lemon-dill sauce by Paula Deen makes a good dipping sauce for crab cakes. The sauce requires 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup buttermilk, 2 tablespoons freshly chopped dill and 1 cup freshly chopped parsley. The recipe also includes 1 tablespoon lemon zest, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 garlic clove.
To make the lemon-dill sauce, simply combine all of the ingredients into a bowl, and mix. Place the sauce in the refrigerator as you prepare the crab cakes to give it time to chill and thicken.
