To make Crisco's ultimate double chocolate chip cookies, start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar, 3/4 cup Crisco butter flavor shortening, 2 tablespoons milk and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat together until light and fluffy, then add 1 egg and continue beating until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 3/4 teaspoon baking soda. Mix the flour with the shortening mixture until just combined. Stir in 3/4 cup each of chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for eight to 10 minutes or up to 13 minutes for extra-crisp cookies. This recipe makes approximately three dozen cookies.
