To make cheesy bacon wrapped tater tots, preheat an oven to 350 F. Cut a block of cheese into squares that are slightly smaller than the tater tots. Thaw 1 bag of frozen tater tots, and cut each piece in half. Place a cube of cheese between the two halves of each tater tot, and then wrap a strip of uncooked bacon around it. Skewer each bacon wrapped tater tot on a toothpick to hold them together. Grease a baking sheet, or line it with aluminum foil. Place the tater tots on the baking sheet, and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the bacon is slightly crispy. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
For Rachael Ray's bacon-wrapped taters, preheat an oven to 425 F. Prepare 1 pound of bacon by cutting each strip into two even halves. Wrap each half strip of bacon around a tater tot, and then skewer with a toothpick. Place the tater tots on a baking sheet, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
